- SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
for The Athena Group.
September 1995 to present. Did all progamming for Lord Kelvin, a Java and DHTML based science simulation and learning environment for middle school students.
Was P.I. and did all Java programming for a Phase One S.B.I.R. entitled EMP for middle school algebra, which allowed student to perform algebraic simplification and factor polynomails on screen. This project included use of the Java Media Framework for interactive multimedia help agents. Did all Java programming for the Car Crash program for Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This project utilized the Java 3D API for real-time three dimensional manipulation of car frame models. Did all the Java programming for the
PSI Sim Science simulation programs.
Did all Java programming for the Test Generator program. Developed a multimedia geography/physical science program, an algebra tutorial program, and a Virtual Microscope, all Windows-based. Did significant work on various DSP (Digital Signal Processing) software including SigLab, a sophisticated mathematical analysis tool.
- COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
for Radiation Technologies in Alachua, Florida, January 1995 to September 1995. Wrote RECON, a program to reconstruct 3-D images of radioactive waste from data gathered by a Compton's image telescope as part of an S.B.I.R. grant.
- COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
for MicronGreen in Gainesville, Florida, August 1993 to September 1995. Wrote CECAD, an AutoCAD ADS application for stereographic viewing of AutoCAD sessions. Worked on VIRTUAL REALITY NAVIGATOR, an AutoCAD CDK application. Ported NAVIGATOR from DOS to Windows. This company closed its doors in 1997.
- COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
for Teacher Support Software in Gainesville, Florida, April 1988 to August 1993. Using C, C++ and assembly language, wrote educational programs for the IBM PC, many of which won awards from the Software Publisher's Association and Media & Methods magazine. Titles I was instrumental in include Reading Realities, the Language Experience Series and
Worksheet Magic.

- COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
for Acumen Software Development in Gainesville, Florida. Designed and wrote the "Dr. Casey" line of programs using Pascal and 6502 assembly language. This company closed its doors in 1988. While working at Acumen developed and wrote The Font Utilities Toolkit for Kyan Software in San Francisco, Ca. and Math Puzzle published by Loadstart/Softdisk. (Math Puzzle is an early version of the Alphanumeric Conundrum on my home page. A version for the TRS 80 was also published in CLoad Magazine in 1983.)
