  • The picture area, where the picture you work with is displayed.
  • The button area, with two options:
    • Get Picture allows you to select a picture from your photo album.
    • Take Picture allows you to use the camera to take a picture
  • Tabs of pages available
    • Picture where you select the picture to work with and the area within the picture to use.
    • Kaleidoscope where you make the kaleidoscopic image.
    • Instructions which offers (rather terse) instructions.

On the picture, draw a line to indicate what portion of the picture to use in the kaleidoscope. The starting point of the line will be the 'center', and the end point will be the 'top'. For example, if you wish to make a kaleidoscope featuring a persons face, start the line just below their neck and draw up through their nose and end just over their head. If it doesn't look right you can always redraw the line.

When you click the Kaleidoscope tab the part of the picture you selected becomes a beautiful spiral image. Slide the Segments slider to control how many times the segment is repeated, and click the Mirrored button to toggle between copies of the same image and alternating mirror images.
One the right is the same picture, but with alternating segments 'mirrored'. Once you get a good-looking picture click Save to save it to your camera's photo album.
