Hibiscus coccineus Hibiscus coccineus

  • Aloe grandidentatum - a small, thick-leaved South African aloe that is cold-hardy and drought-tolerant, and a great plant for a dry, shady spot. Pint containers, small divisions: $5.00
  • Billbergia nutans - hardy bromeliad from Brazil. Beautiful gray-green, vase-like shape, unusual pink inflorescence in the late winter. Potted divisions: $10.00
  • Chamaedorea microspadix - hardy Bamboo Palm, from Mexico, grown from seeds collected in Gainesville, Florida. One-Gallon, two-year old seedlings: $10.00
  • Crinum asiaticum - a large crinum, with broad, upright green leaves and spidery white flowers. 3 -Gallon containers: $15.00
  • Crinum (C. scabrum hybrids) - divisions and seedlings from nursery stock and garden plants - Striped Milk & Wine, Hannibal's Dwarf (a dwarf pink variety), Crinum jagus (white, vanilla scented) - $15.00
  • Freesia (Lapeirousia) laxa - a diminutive little bulbous plant from South Africa, with hot pink flowers that look like tiny orchids, grown from seeds from my own garden. Pint containers, 10-15 bulbs per pot: $5.00
  • Habranthus robustus - a large, light pink rain lily from South America, with forward-facing, large trumpet-like flowers. One-Gallon containers, with 3-5 bulbs per pot: $6.00
  • Hibiscus coccineus - a native hibiscus that grows to over six feet tall, and displays beautiful crimson, six-inch wide blossoms in early summer. This plant does like lots of water, and can be grown in containers, with a saucer underneath the pot to keep them moist. Blooming-size: $8.00
  • Hippeastrum ‘San Antonio Rose’ - a hardy, dwarf, evergreen garden amaryllis with dark green, red-striped foliage and red flowers with a green throat. One-Gallon containers, 3-5 bulbs per container: $10.00
  • Hymenocallis latifolia - our beautiful native Spider Lily, this plant is found along streams and waterways in the wild, but does well in the garden, too. One-gallon containers: $8.00
  • Malvaviscus drummondii - Turks Cap, small shrubs with bright red flowers that hummingbirds love. I have a large-leaved variety that produces large, egg-white seed pods that ripen to a tomato red! A very attractive plant. Five-Gallon containers: $10.00 / SORRY---OUT OF STOCK
  • Neomarica northiana - Walking Iris, a tender perennial with white and purple iris-like flowers and pretty apple-green foliage; the bloom stalks sport new plantlets. One-Gallon containers: $4.00
  • Zephyranthes species - the rain lilies include species native to Florida and the Gulf Coast, and Central and South America - Z. citrina, Z. robustus, Z. drumondii, and Z. insularum. Pint containers: 1-3 bulbs per container: $3.00 - $5.00
