August 22, 1999 - Gray board
Hmmm...20 days between the previous set of photos and these. My best guess is that the framing had to be finished before the drywalling could begin. Actually, our walls will be plastered, not drywalled. However, the drywall crew had to come in and put up the gray board everywhere but in the garage. So my house is this uniform shade of battleship gray. And it looks much smaller.
No matter how hard I tried, with
Joe, Sarah, Olivia & Kurt wandering around the house, now forced to
use doors & hallways (no more walking through walls), almost every
shot I took ended up with someone (or someone's body part) in the picture...

Here's Joe's upper body in front of Sarah's bedroom closet... |

Joe & Sarah as they walk across the opening for the entertainment center. (The opening extends to the floor, the wallboard is just resting across the lower half of the opening.) |

The dining room. I think I managed to evade my family for most of the remaining shots... |

A pretty cool shot of the insulation. We're using blown-in cellulose.
Which creates an interesting problem - one side of the wall cavity has
to be covered...
This is the wall opposite the garage door. The plastic on the left side covers the wall cavity - the other side is the dining room. This covering wasn't need on the right side since behind the insulation is the exterior OSB. |

The master bathroom shower. Yes, that is a bench in the back. If you look closely, you can see some of the second shower-head on the right. |
