Lloyd Lambert Gatlyn attended the old Lithia school and Pincrest thru the8th grade. He completed his high school education at Jefferson HighSchool in Tampa, Fl. after he married Minnie Lee. He and Minnie Lee metwhile in the 6th grade, she at Keysville and he at Lithia, and weresweethearts ever after.
He served in the Navy for one and a half years.
After their marriage they lived in Tampa. Both of them worked at theHava-Tampa Cigar Factory. He worked in the coffee shop and she worked inthe factory. After several years he was employed by Bonacker BrothersFood Brokers as warehouse manager.
Their daughter Elaine was born while Lloyd was still working in thecoffee shop. All the crew gave "Him" a super "Stork Shower". He got manygifts and it was in the newspaper.

William Covington Gatlyn changed the spelling of his name from Gatlinto Gatlyn betwee 1910-1922. His mail was gettting mixed up with hisbrother Eddie Clifford's, and he changed the spelling to solve thisproblem.

Mr. Gatlyn was affectionately called "Will".
He was a plummer by trade.

After Freddie Lee's divorce from Rufus Durden she moved in with hermother and father in Plant City. She soon met Will Gatlyn who lived withhis childen just accrosss the street. His children needed a mother andhers needed a father so they married. They later decided to move theirfamily to Lithia, a few miles south of Plant City, where they made theirhome and raised their children.

Will died on 2 Nov. 1952 as a result of a stroke. He is burried inPelote cemetery in Lithia, Fl.
