Hodge, Alfred L. (b 6/13/49 Alachua Co.; m. Civil Fowler 2/2/81; d11/16/37, Columbia Co.) does not appear on any rolls but claimed to be amember of this company in his pension application.
** birthyear wrong actually born in 1859, 1860 census confirms thisas it shows Alfred as a 1 yr old, not 11.**
* Alfred claimed to have served in Capt. Underwood's co. of the FloridaHome Guard but was only about 6 at the end of the war. However he didapply for a pension in 1928 and received a pension of $480 per year until1931 when his brother-in-law, Aaron Fowler and several others wroteletters to the pension board stating that Alfred was too young to haveserved.
