The Virtual Cardiac Cath Lab is the ultimate educational resource for invasive technologists for registry preparation.

The CD-ROM set is the collaboration of Charles D. Lawrence, MPH, Ph.D., producer of the videotape set “The Cardiac Cath Lab: A primer and Compendium for Technologists and Jeff Davis, RRT, RCIS, Cardiovascular Technology Program Coordinator at Edison Community College  and the Chairperson of the Invasive Committee of  The Proposed National Model Cardiovascular Curriculum.

The CD-ROM set (three CD-ROM’s) contains 615 screens of  material (over 100,000 words of text), 697 videos and animations and730 pictures. The CD-ROM material covers topics including embryology, anatomy, pathology, hemodynamics, catheterization procedures, technologist functions and cardiac pharmacology (see below).

NOTE: Windows 7 Users (64 bit version) will not run the Virtual Cardiac Cath Lab program.

For instutitions the CD-ROM set comes with reproducible test masters (and answer sheets) with 460 questions from the CD materials (plus an answer key) to allow the hospital to maintain technologist progress records for JCAHO accreditation.  The CD package (CD’s and reproducible tests) is priced for institutions at $160.00 and can be ordered by sending check (made out to Charles D. Lawrence) or purchase order to the address below.
